Kamal
Bounajd
Southwest Finland
"My heart lies in ensuring better healthcare services for everyone in our country. At the same time, I want to improve working conditions and ensure that healthcare professionals receive the appreciation and respect they deserve."
My name is Kamal Bounajd and I am running for the Swedish People's Party (SFP) in Southwest Finland.
I moved to Finland from Morocco at the age of 22 and chose to work in healthcare because I love helping people. During my time in home care, I saw shortcomings that made me sad – elderly people suffering at home while waiting for a place in a nursing home, staff shortages and financial difficulties.
Now I am studying to become a nurse and working in Varha. My goal is to improve healthcare, strengthen working conditions and increase respect for healthcare professionals.
Together we can make a difference!
I am also running in the municipal elections

Mental Health
Mental health is as important as physical health and must be prioritized in society. We need to strengthen access to psychiatric care, shorten waiting times and invest in preventive measures, especially for children and young people. Schools, workplaces and healthcare should have resources to support those who need help. No one should have to suffer in silence – we must break the stigma and build a society where mental health is taken seriously.
Safe elderly care
Safe elderly care is a fundamental right. We must invest in more resources, more staff and better working conditions in elderly care to ensure that every elderly person receives the care and attention they deserve. Freedom of choice, self-determination and individualized care should be in focus. No one should have to worry about their old age – dignified and safe elderly care is an investment in the whole of society.
Safe living
A safe life is a fundamental right for everyone. Safety is about more than just safety – it means access to good healthcare, a strong social safety net and a society where no one is left behind. We must invest in preventive work, strengthen welfare and ensure that everyone, regardless of age or background, feels safe in their everyday lives. A safe society is built through community, justice and responsibility.
