Ostrobothnia
"Local and regional experience and security are needed now."
I have a husband and three adult children and come from Lappfjärd in Kristinestad, with a background as both an economist and a vocational teacher.
We are all aware that changes within the welfare area in Ostrobothnia have affected our region. These have been, and still are, tough years, which is why stability is needed moving forward.
Healthcare represents security in every individual's life, and that security has been significantly disrupted for all of us.
In recent years, I have had the privilege of being part of the corporate governance section of Ostrobothnia’s welfare area. This has given me a solid understanding of the entire region's operations and the challenges we face.
When I was asked to run in the welfare area election, my answer was a clear yes.
For me, it is self-evident that healthcare and social services must be available close to us and in our own native language. When we need care, we must be able to communicate in the language we feel most comfortable with. It is crucial that no one feels uncertain or misunderstood in a situation that may already be stressful. This, of course, applies to both language groups.
For us in Southern Ostrobothnia, the key to success is our ability to collaborate to achieve results. This applies to all of Ostrobothnia and extends beyond municipal borders. To unite our efforts, we must also leverage the strengths of the entire region. We all have different challenges, but we also have strengths. Together, we can build a welfare system where every individual receives the support and care they need.
In this election, we must focus on people—listening to their needs and finding solutions that truly make a difference in everyday life. My personal vision is a welfare system that is strong, present, and close to all of us, where everyone feels seen and secure.
Accessible healthcare, safe elderly care, and the well-being of children, youth, and families are the primary issues I want to work for in the welfare area.
Remember, it is important to vote—and to vote for someone who can represent you. I sincerely hope to contribute my experience for the benefit of the region and Ostrobothnia as a whole. And I strongly believe that local knowledge plays a key role in shaping the future of Southern Ostrobothnia.
I am also running in the municipal elections
