"I'm upset! My motivation thrives from own experiences in public healthcare with diagnostic errors and inappropriate treatments. "
I'm 55 years old and divorced. I live with my parsonrusselterrier dog called Zorro in Kauniainen. He is my PT(=Parsonal trainer), my coach and mentor. I'm working within arts and antiques, write books and columns in different magazines. I also visit often my mother in her care home. I'm active in some cultural associations and chairman for De Sjukas Väl i huvudstadsregionen rf. In my spare time I do agility, hydrohex and talk a lot with my friends. I have a masters degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki.
Important political topics
Accessible health care
It is too difficult to book appointments, too difficult to get diagnoses or treatment. For the 5600 euros every Finnish citizen paid for the healthcare through their taxes one assumes good treatment would be included.
Safe living
Society has to take care of people in a vulnerable situation - no one should be afraid of not getting medical care or help.
Safe elderly care
24/7 care of elderly doesn't meet up the need. One should get care as soon as it is needed. Elderly people often make ambulance trips to the ER jamming its activities while an effective home care would ease the situation. More rehabilitation is also needed so the elderly can stay in their homes without fear as long as possible. This way the situation in the hospitals would also be better in the future. More resources are needed!
