"Mother, school social worker, specialist social worker"
I am 38 years old. I live with my husband, two small children and a poodle in western Vantaa. I am a social worker MSSc (2016), a specialist social worker with a specialization in social work with children, young people and families, 70 ECTS credits (2021), and a trainee teacher.
Since 2016, I have worked as a school social worker, but I also have a background in disability services and as a youth work leader.
I sit on the local branch board of SFP in Martinlaakso and on the district board of SFP in Uusimaa. I am a board member and member secretary of Koulukuraattorit ry - School Social Workers, I am a board member and vice-chairman of the Day Care Association Fyndet rf in Vantaa, and I am a member of the administrative boards of a couple of student housing foundations.
The well-being of children, young people and families, disability issues, preventive work and gender equality issues are matters close to my heart.
A vote for me is a vote for a society that prioritizes the well-being of our children, young people and families, for a society with the world's best schools and educational paths, for an equal society where everyone, regardless of background, feels safe and for a society where everyone can live their everyday lives in our two national languages, Swedish and Finnish.
I am also running in the municipal elections

Thriving children, adolescents and families
I have previously worked as a youth worker, now I work as a school social worker. I am a mother of young children myself.
Children and young people are our future, they and their families need to be prioritized at all times.
Parents need support in parenthood at an early stage when they feel that they cannot cope with everyday life. Children need to feel safe.
Children and young people should always have access to supportive social and health care services without delay. Corrective services are always more expensive.
We will work together to ensure that children and young people feel seen and safe.
Disability Services
The field of disability has interested me since my teens and is a subject that I am passionate about. From an early age, I worked as a support person for children with functional variations and later I worked at a home for young people with disabilities. For my master's degree, I interviewed mothers of children with functional variations and for my final project during my specialization studies, I interviewed siblings of children with functional variations in the same way. In my immediate family there has been a child with a serious functional variation, unfortunately the child is no longer with us, but through the child I have also seen how important the support from society is when a child is not like other children.
It is important that we have a society where people - and families of people - with functional variations feel seen and involved.
We need decision-makers who understand this issue.
Safe living
Everyone - of all ages, regardless of background - must be able to feel safe in our society. It should be safe to move around on the streets, when you are in need you should be able to count on help being close by. When we need support from society through social and healthcare services, we should also receive them within a reasonable time. When in old age it no longer feels safe to live at home, society should also be able to offer the best support.
