"For sustainable decision-making also for future generations "

I am a 24-year-old mother and student studying international law at Åbo Akademi University. I also serve as a board member of the Swedish Youth executive board and am active at the local level within SFP in Åbo.

My political career began 10 years ago in the Youth Council and has continued ever since. Over the years, I have served as the chairperson of the Swedish-Speaking School-Student Union of Finland and worked on education policy issues and human rights matters within Amnesty.

Important political topics

Children, Youth, and Families

Investing in children and young people is investing in the future. The well-being of children, youth, and families forms the foundation of a sustainable and safe society.

When children and young people thrive, have a stable upbringing, and receive the support they need, a strong foundation is laid for their future. Families who feel secure and have access to resources and support are better equipped to handle challenges and create a positive environment for their children.

All children and teenagers should have the right to a meaningful hobby, regardless of their family’s socioeconomic status. We should invest in services such as outreach youth work and youth workshops to support and help vulnerable teenagers.

The best schools

Education is the most important pillar of our society. High-quality education, from early childhood education to higher education, is essential. Early childhood education should be free of charge, and class sizes should be reduced.

Schools must provide both digital and traditional learning materials, as well as sufficient support resources for all students, such as school psychologists and homework assistance. At the same time, there must be challenging tasks for those who need extra stimulation.

We should also invest more in secondary education to ensure high-quality teaching for the young.

Municipal and urban vitality

For our municipalities to be attractive and thriving, a strong economy, investments in entrepreneurship, and investments in knowledge and welfare are essential.

Responsible financial management ensures high-quality services and a well-functioning everyday life for residents. We need vibrant municipalities where people thrive and businesses grow.
Excellent collaboration between municipalities and businesses, the promotion of sustainable investments, and more efficient employment services are crucial for helping more people quickly find jobs.

A good work environment for municipal employees and an inclusive labor market are important factors for growth.
By investing in labor immigration, equal recruitment, and better-tailored higher education policies, we can meet the needs of the future.
