"I work towards long-term and pragmatic solutions in the healthcare and social welfare sectors. By integrating digital and mobile services, we can strengthen the existing healthcare system and ensure that it remains accessible to everyone. Instead of completely shutting down local services, we should explore ways to optimize resource use – for example, by utilizing smaller premises or adjusting opening hours. This way, we can maintain proximity to care without compromising on quality."
I´m as a deputy member of the Eastern Uusimaa Welfare Council and the Rescue Committee. In the City of Porvoo, I am the chair of the Environmental Health Section, a member of the Licensing- and Supervision Committee, and the chairman of the board of Rosk’n Roll, with a strong interest in sustainable development and urban planning. I am committed to developing long-term and effective solutions that are both pragmatic and closely aligned with the daily lives of residents.
With a background in administration, law, and international affairs, I have worked in several advocacy organizations, promoting issues related to the environment, social sustainability, and equality. Currently, I work as an international affairs specialist at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, focusing on cross-border cooperation and development projects.
I believe that decision-making should be grounded in both research and the realities that local residents experience. Therefore, I highly value open dialogue and collaboration across different sectors to create sustainable and realistic solutions.
Important political topics
Accessible health care
In Eastern Uusimaa, everyone should have access to quality healthcare, regardless of where they live. I work for long-term and pragmatic solutions within the welfare area, where digital and mobile services complement physical healthcare. Instead of shutting down local services, I want to see flexible alternatives – smaller premises, adjusted opening hours, and smarter resource use. By modernizing healthcare without compromising its security, we can ensure accessible and functioning healthcare for the entire region.
High-quality health care
Everyone in Eastern Uusimaa deserves high-quality healthcare, where the right treatment is available at the right time. With personal experience in being in need of cancer care, I know how crucial fast and specialized treatment is. That is why I work to strengthen healthcare within the welfare area, with a particular focus on cancer care and access to gynecological services for women. It is essential that care is provided in a timely manner and that primary healthcare functions efficiently so that patients can be quickly referred to hospitals where specialized treatment is available when needed.
Disability Services
People with disabilities should have the same right to an independent life and an accessible everyday environment as everyone else – it is a matter of equality and respect. With experience working on these issues, including at FDUV, I understand how crucial it is for the welfare area to provide the right support and services tailored to individual needs. I want to work to strengthen access to functional basic services, personalized support, and effective coordination between different actors so that no one falls through the cracks. An inclusive society begins with a well-functioning and accessible daily life for all.

A new central hospital should be built in Porvoo to consolidate the services at Kungsporten.
A new hospital in Kungsporten, Porvoo, is essential to ensure modern, accessible, and high-quality healthcare for the residents of Eastern Uusimaa. The current hospital is outdated and limits the ability to provide efficient and specialized care. he location in Kungsporten offers excellent transport connections, making it easily accessible for the entire region. Investing in a new hospital is crucial to meeting future healthcare needs.

All young people under the age of 29 should be guaranteed free contraceptives.
This reduces healthcare costs as it decreases abortions and the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

The health stations in Lappträsk, Askola, and Mörskom should be preserved.
I would rather review opening hours and explore the option of using smaller premises instead

There should be more mobile services, such as health buses and remote consultations.
This guarantees local services.

Wellbeing services counties must increase investments in preventive healthcare, even if it means that other types of care receive fewer resources.
In the long run, this is often more cost-effective, as the treatment of more serious illnesses is always more expensive.
6 / 14
A personal doctor system should be introduced to improve continuity of care, even if it requires extra resources for a while.
In the long term, this provides more consistent and better healthcare.
7 / 14
Wellbeing services counties should prohibit the use of temporary agency doctors.
I believe in significantly reducing it, but I don’t think it can be completely banned.
8 / 14
More shelter spaces should be established to help individuals subjected to violence.
The need has increased due to the difficult economic times, which also negatively affect the daily lives of families.
9 / 14
To shorten waiting times, wellbeing services counties should increase the use of service vouchers.
This works well as a temporary solution to reduce queues.
10 / 14
Healthcare should be centralized if it saves money or improves quality.
Specialized healthcare makes sense to centralize, as it is hopefully not needed too often in people\'s lives, but primary healthcare must be available nearby.

Funding and resources for rescue services should be prioritized higher, even if it means cuts in other sectors.
I believe that the rescue services are a crucial public function that must have sufficient resources, but it is also important to find a balance so that other welfare services are not disproportionately affected.

Undocumented migrants should have the right to non-urgent healthcare.
I believe that urgent and essential healthcare should always be accessible to everyone, regardless of legal status. At the same time, it is important to discuss how resources are allocated and which healthcare services can be provided without overburdening an already strained welfare system

More emphasis should be placed on training healthcare staff in gender diversity and sexual diversity.
I believe that healthcare should be inclusive and based on respect for every individual. Training in gender diversity and sexual diversity can help create a safer and more equal healthcare environment for all.
