"For accessible, effective and well timed healthcare"
I am running for the welfare elections above all for accessible, effective and well timed health care. As a public health nurse, I am strongly pro-prevention, and since prevention is very much a municipal issue, I am also standing for municipal elections. I want to ensure that decisions take into account the possibility for well-being and health in the everyday lives of the residents.
I am a nurse / a public health nurse, art educator, cognitive short therapist and expert in natural medicine, as well as a citizen, mother and daughter who uses services in Espoo, with experience of services ranging from maternity hospitals to nursing homes. I want to constantly develop as a person and be involved in the development of society. I currently serve on the board of the Matinkylä-Olar local branch of the RKP/SFP and the Svenska Kvinnoförbundet i Esbo.

Ambulance services should receive more resources so that the number of ambulances in the region increases rather than decreases.
2 / 14
Services should be maintained in the regional hospitals in Raseborg and Lohja.
3 / 14
The wellbeing services county of West Uusimaa should allocate more resources to language supplements to encourage staff to provide services in Swedish.
4 / 14
There should be more mobile services, such as health buses and remote consultations.
It is essential not to reduce local services too much, but well-designed and implemented remote and mobile services are an excellent addition to the service repertoire.
5 / 14
Wellbeing services counties must increase investments in preventive healthcare, even if it means that other types of care receive fewer resources.
Prevention saves money on medical treatment and, above all, creates quality of life by enabling people to stay healthy.
6 / 14
A personal doctor system should be introduced to improve continuity of care, even if it requires extra resources for a while.
7 / 14
Wellbeing services counties should prohibit the use of temporary agency doctors.
Welfare areas should try to get rid of lease-physicians, but banning them totally would prevent their use when all else fails and a doctor is needed.
8 / 14
More shelter spaces should be established to help individuals subjected to violence.
9 / 14
To shorten waiting times, wellbeing services counties should increase the use of service vouchers.
10 / 14
Healthcare should be centralized if it saves money or improves quality.
Centralization must always be justified and provide a solution that really works. Centralization is not an end in itself and the necessary local services must be guaranteed.
11 / 14
Funding and resources for rescue services should be prioritized higher, even if it means cuts in other sectors.
12 / 14
Undocumented migrants should have the right to non-urgent healthcare.
13 / 14
More emphasis should be placed on training healthcare staff in gender diversity and sexual diversity.
