"For a secure future - a strong school, a strong community!"
As a mother of four children growing up in Kauniainen, I know the everyday life of families, from early childhood education to sports, culture and hobbies, high school and youth work.
I am familiar with education and administration and have been involved in municipal politics since 2012, serving on the Kauniainen City Council, City Board, Community Committee and School and Early Childhood Education Committee
In addition to my work as a university lecturer of Swedish, I am the director of the Hanken Centre for Language and Business Communication and a member of the Matriculation Examination Board.
Important political topics
The best schools
As a mother of four children, I work to ensure that children and young people can live in a functioning society. For me, it is important that day care and education are of high quality and that children and young people have equal opportunities for leisure activities.
Children, Youth, and Families
The largest and most important sector in local government is education. Finland is known for its schools, and I am actively working to keep standards high. Equal education paves the way for a strong society.
Sustainable and attractive planning
Grankulla's character as a residential town must be preserved and it must be safe for everyone to move around the town.

The Swedish-speaking municipal daycare should continue to be concentrated at Kasabergets daghem daycare center.
In Kauniainen there is one municipal day-care centre in Swedish, it must be located in a central place and in a unit large enough to ensure quality.

Both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking early childhood education and schools should continue to be governed by their own committees.
The Finland-Swedish minority has a special status that needs its own structures and the right to be heard on equal terms.

Early childhood education should be free for everyone.
All residents have a subjective right to municipal early childhood education and care, which is already heavily subsidised. Compared to private care, municipal day care or day care with a service voucher is favourable for those families whose income exceeds the limit for free day care.

Schools should prioritize traditional textbooks over digital learning materials.
There should be a balance and a realistic option to choose learning materials that are appropriate and fulfil the needs in terms of content and use.

One of the municipality’s most important tasks is to invest in sports facilities and opportunities for exercise and recreation.
It is not the primary task of a municipality, but it is an important part of a well-functioning society and of creating equal opportunities for residents to practise sport.

It is important to provide all residents with equal opportunities for cultural activities.
A varied range at a reasonable price.

The municipality should introduce or improve opportunities for residents to influence how municipal funds are used through participatory budgeting.
This possibility already exists, and that is good.

The municipality should invest in public transportation.
My wish is that the small service bus can be used by children and young people who want to get to and from the sports centres such as the slalom slope. .

It should be possible to be a resident in more than one municipality, for example, through digital municipal citizenship.

The municipality should better facilitate the expansion of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
In practice a bit tricky in a small municipality like Kauniainen, but renewable energy - absolutely!

The municipality should mix more housing types in planning than is currently the case.
Construction in Kauniainen is relatively small-scale and space is a constraint.
