"Thriving residents are the foundation of a successful Vaasa"
I was born and raised in Helsinki but have lived in Vaasa for almost my entire adult life. I am a registered nurse and am currently pursuing a masters degree in social- and healthcare at a university of applied sciences. My career has been in addiction treatment and criminal care, until I started working as a coordinator for the wellbeing services counties at the Swedish People’s Party in 2022.
For me, it is important that Vaasa stays at the forefront of development. The city must be attractive to both native residents and newcomers. A safe, functional, and happy city creates well-being for its residents, which is the very foundation of the region’s vitality. I am running in the municipal elections for the second time because I want to help move Vaasa forward. Everything from schools to basketball courts to cultural centers must be built, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves.
Important political topics
Municipal and urban vitality
Education and jobs are crucial for Vaasa’s future. With high-quality schools, we will have a well-educated workforce, which is a key factor in attracting businesses to establish themselves here. I want to make this a top priority in decision-making.
Thriving citizens
Vaasa should be a safe city where everyone can have meaningful leisure time and be engaged members of the community. I want to see more development like what has happened in Onkilahti (Metviken). There we have created an area where everyone feels comfortable, a place for relaxation, socializing, and exercise.
Equality and Equity
My core values are based on the belief that all people have equal worth.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed and to be seen for who they truly are. The city of Vaasa must be a leader and actively work on these issues because an equal and inclusive society is the most successful one.
