"It’s important that we all work together to keep the vitality in Jakobstad. I’m ready to do my part and I want that the city of Jakobstad is a good place to live. I want to do my best to keep Jakobstad a place where companies can grow. This is the only way that we can get new job opportunities, and our residents gets income to keep their everyday life good. Growth gives us tax incomes, but it also challenges daycare, schools and housing. Those parts need to develop in the same proportion. I want to protect our national languages and the position of minorities in society. "
I'm a person who don't have problems to communicate with people. I do listen and I want to learn new things. I'm not afraid to speak my mind and I'm prepared with arguments.
Back in the days i studied healthcare and wanted to work in childcare. My heart still beats for children and the youth.
But life changed. I moved to Jakobstad and studied tourism and worked 9 years at a Hotel in Jakobstad.
I became a resident of Jakobstad. The following years it was about work, family, children and building a house.
I have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Grandma is my most important title.
As an adult i studied more alongside my work:
Bachelor of foreign trade and Specialist vocational qualification for business advisors.
I have worked almost 20 years as civil servant at the TE-office. Starting 1.1.2025 my employer is Jakobstads sysselsättningsområde.
I still do the same thing as earlier with small changes. Im a business adviser and specialist on the labour market.
My hobbies are my grandchildren, organisational activities and gardening

A functioning business community provides vitality. It generates tax revenues and it is needed to be able to maintain or expand services at the local level. We can do more good for the residents of Jakobstad if we have a functioning labour market.
Housing and Construction
Growth requires moving in, and then the housing market must be developed so that there are all kinds of housing available. The process of planning matters must be quick and smooth so as not to discourage interested parties. We need investments and business establishments.
Children, Youth, and Families
We need to take care of children and young people. I want the children to feel safe and for the young people to feel that they want to come home to Jakobstad after studies to build their nest here. In addition to the fact that we need immigrants, we also need the knowledge that they bring here.
