"I want to work for an ecologically and economically sustainable Helsinki. All residents should have the opportunity to feel good and participate in their hometown. The position of culture should be strengthened."
I am a 51-year-old Helsinki resident living on Brändö with roots in Loviisa. I am an actor, solution-oriented therapist and entrepreneur and my heart beats for equality, shared responsibility and acceptance.
I want to see clear progress in how we as a society and individuals invest in sustainability - socially, economically and environmentally. In my work as a therapist, I see up close the effects of decisions that have lost focus on people. For me, it is clear that culture and nature support our well-being. I want to see long-term thinking and responsibility in decision-making.
Important political topics
Thriving citizens
Young people's well-being and faith in the future need to be supported with concrete actions.
I cherish the power of shared commitment, the importance of practical skills to support the circular economy, strengthen our resilience and preparedness, and create a functioning society for all.
Forerunners in climate and the environment
As an urban outdoors person, I choose solutions that support a functioning and prosperous local environment and that position Helsinki as a pioneer for climate-smart solutions.
Culture and Leisure
As a Master of Theatre Arts, actor, musician and director, I care about the living conditions of the creative industry and the importance of culture for us humans. Culture should be accessible to everyone.

Schools should prioritize traditional textbooks over digital learning materials.
Research shows that reading comprehension develops best with printed materials. A combination of books and digital materials enables nuanced learning and allows teachers to adapt teaching to the needs of the classroom.

One of the municipality’s most important tasks is to invest in sports facilities and opportunities for exercise and recreation.
Accessible, functioning sports facilities and exercise and recreation opportunities provide opportunities for residents to strengthen their health and well-being.

It is important to provide all residents with equal opportunities for cultural activities.
Art and culture question, enlighten and provide perspective. Engaging in culture influences our willingness to vote and thus democracy. Helsinki shall continue to support events that strengthen community and open up new insights.

The municipality should introduce or improve opportunities for residents to influence how municipal funds are used through participatory budgeting.

The municipality should invest in public transportation.
To achieve a carbon-neutral Helsinki, we need to be encouraged to use public transport. A wide, functioning public transport system with reasonable prices and functioning cycle and pedestrian paths is needed.

It should be possible to be a resident in more than one municipality, for example, through digital municipal citizenship.

The municipality should better facilitate the expansion of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
We shall also, among other things, encourage and support innovations that develop the reuse of carbon dioxide and methane emissions and strengthen the circular economy.

The municipality should mix more housing types in planning than is currently the case.
By mixing housing types, we create safer living areas, less loneliness and better functioning integration.
10 / 11
The municipality should introduce anonymous recruitment.
Anonymous recruitment promotes fair and competency-based processing of applications throughout the recruitment process.
