My name is Mats Blomqvist, I am 48 years old, and I am running as a new candidate in the municipal election. I have over 20 years of experience as a teacher in the field of natural resource management, where I have had the privilege of teaching and inspiring young people in an area I am passionate about. Currently, I run the farm on my family property in Kisor, focusing on meat production and crop cultivation.

As a farmer and small business owner, I have gained a deep understanding of both practical and technical challenges. I am confident that this experience can be valuable to our community, where sustainability and innovation are key to the future. I believe in using local resources smartly and developing sustainable solutions to strengthen both our business sector and our shared welfare.

I am energetic and driven by getting things done. For me, honest and direct communication is essential in all situations, and I want to be a politician who is close to the people and listens to their needs. As a new candidate, I look forward to contributing with my practical knowledge and technical expertise to create a better future for Jakobstad.
