Helsinki
"A Vibrant City. A Sustainable Tomorrow. A World-Class School."
I am an entrepreneur, economist, resident of Lauttasaari, and father.
After earning my bachelor’s degree at Hanken Business School in Helsinki, I moved to the UK for my master’s studies—and ended up staying for over seven years. I worked in banking and financial regulation in London, Brussels, and Stockholm—hugely rewarding years that gave me valuable perspectives on how cities function (or don’t).
A few years ago, I returned home to Helsinki. I switched from banking to the startup world, moved to Lauttasaari, and became a father.
Now, I’m running in the municipal elections—to roll up my sleeves for a vibrant and sustainable Helsinki.
My vision for Helsinki is built on a deep commitment to understanding the issues and a genuine willingness to see things from different perspectives. Good decisions require careful consideration, but by working together with those who take responsibility and seek constructive solutions, we can move our city forward.
Important political topics
Municipal and urban vitality
A vibrant Helsinki provides the best foundation for quality of life, education, and well-being. The city should be open and international, offering and enabling services, amenities, and activities that make it an attractive place to live. It must be planned in a way that keeps housing costs reasonable and continue to pursue a responsible economic policy.
Forerunners in climate and the environment
Climate change is a global challenge, but many solutions are local. Helsinki must do its part to minimize the damage climate change is already causing—and, in the long run, help turn the tide for the better.
The best schools
Education is the foundation for finding one’s place in society. Everyone should gain the skills needed to become a thriving and active individual at school, while the growing strain on young people’s mental health calls for targeted efforts.
