Larsmo

"I want to work for an independent and sustainable Larsmo where all residents thrive – both physically and mentally. Together, we must protect our beautiful environment on land and at sea, improve traffic safety, and promote well-being for all ages. A balanced economy is the key to a secure future."

I was born and raised in Fagernäs and have lived there since 1998 with my wife Minna and our dogs Bono and Seppo and our cat Spiggen. We have two grown sons and I have been a happy granfather for a few years. For the past 25 years, I have worked as manager of technical customer service, product development and sales at Walki in Jakobstad. I am now a technical advisor and am completing my career to become a full-time “baron” in the summer. I have a master of science degree in chemical engineering from Åbo Akademi University.
I have been an elected representative in the last period and am 1st vice-chairman of the council, member of the presidium, vice-chairman of the technical services committee, Larsmo's representative in Österbottens Avfallsnämnd and board member in the Wava Institute, and a member and deputy member of a few other municipal bodies. For me, all of this has been very educational and interesting and often fun. With the experience and knowledge I have gained from the last period, I am ready and eager to continue. I am interested in community development and especially want to work with environmental issues, traffic safety and infrastructure. As a counterpoint to my “technical me”, I also want to work with well-being and culture for both old and young. I am also running in the welfare district election.
I have many hobbies; music is important to me; I play the trumpet in several bands. I am currently active in five different associations. I like forestry work and walking in nature with my dogs. Also living at the summer cottage and boating in the summer and cooking are among my hobbies… and bara bada bastu!
I am not afraid to speak my mind and I like to have many irons in the fire and get things done!

I am also running in the county elections

Municipal and urban vitality

A prerequisite for a viable municipality is that the economy is kept in good condition - our debt burden must not increase - we have tougher times ahead of us. Other prerequisites are of course a stably growing population and prosperous residents.
