"For a high-quality and beautiful Kyrkslätt, with vibrant public spaces, enhanced living conditions, and a strong place identity, all while maintaining urban-rural balance and preserving its rural and natural character."
Hi! I am excited to introduce myself as a first-time candidate in the Kyrkslätt municipal elections 2025. I am 46 years old and a passionate professional with a strong background in architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Originally from India, I have been living in Europe since 2006. My family and I moved to Espoo in 2017, where we lived with my wife and daughter, and in 2021, we relocated to Kyrkslätt. We have been very satisfied with our home municipality and are truly proud to call this beautiful community our home. With a doctorate degree focusing on the health and well-being benefits of nature, I have dedicated my career to creating multispieces, livable, and sustainable environments. As a researcher at Luonnonvarakeskus and Tampere University, my work revolves around creating nature-based solutions that support both people and nature, fostering well-being for all.
I believe Kyrkslätt has a unique character—a blend of urban life, rural, and natural beauty. My vision is to strengthen this identity by enhancing public spaces while preserving the rural and green landscapes that make our town and region special. Investing in bio-diverse early childhood eduction centers for both increased outdoor and indoor nature-interactaction spaces and nature-based activities is also close to my heart. Thoughtful landscape planning will further enhance Kyrkslätt’s beauty while integrating sustainable urban design practices and preserving local heritage. I also see great potential in attracting new residents by showcasing Kyrkslätt’s exceptional balance of nature, accessibility, and quality of life. By improving green infrastructure, mobility, and public spaces, we can make our town an even better place to live, work, and recreate.
My decision to step into municipal politics comes from a deep commitment to the well-being of both our local community and the environment. At this stage in my career, I believe that my expertise and passion can contribute meaningfully to Kyrkslätt’s future. I look forward to the opportunity to work together in shaping a greener, more connected, and thriving Kyrkslätt.

In Kirkkonummi, it is important to promote the attractiveness of new residential areas or business establishments, even if it comes at the expense of nature.
2 / 14
The West Rail between Espoo and Salo should be implemented, even if it means that Kirkkonummi must finance part of it.
Kirkonummi must finance and improve the railway station track capacity, as long as the property-related noise protection measures are in place and effective, and socio-ecological compensation requirements met are justified.

In Kirkkonummi, it is better to save money by cutting down on the service network for residents rather than reducing municipal staff.
Well, less governance is good governance; however, it should not increase the workload on staff or hinder service provision to the public.
4 / 14
Early childhood education should be free for everyone.
5 / 14
Schools should prioritize traditional textbooks over digital learning materials.
Traditional textbook learning is highly important, and I believe it is currently lacking. Prioritizing it is very essential and timely.

One of the municipality’s most important tasks is to invest in sports facilities and opportunities for exercise and recreation.
Outdoor sport / gym facilities in natural enviorments are equally important

It is important to provide all residents with equal opportunities for cultural activities.
True, i beleive so. I also believe our natural and outdoor environments has larger role in this.
8 / 14
The municipality should introduce or improve opportunities for residents to influence how municipal funds are used through participatory budgeting.
9 / 14
The municipality should invest in public transportation.
A mapping of travel behavior and demand must be done before investing; however, I strongly support connecting parts of Kyrkslätt through an effective public transport system.
10 / 14
It should be possible to be a resident in more than one municipality, for example, through digital municipal citizenship.
Why not, as long as the requirement of residence in more than one municipality is justified.
11 / 14
The municipality should better facilitate the expansion of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
12 / 14
The municipality should mix more housing types in planning than is currently the case.
13 / 14
The municipality should introduce anonymous recruitment.
Why? If we believe in democratic values, diversity, and equality in employment, and if recruitments are based on merit, then there is no need for anonymity.
