"For a sustainable society"
I am running in the municipal election because I want to be involved and work together to continue the development of Pargas. We will continue to invest in good education and work to make Pargas grow. The basis for that is a balanced economy. Prosperous people who are happy build a sustainable society!
I ran for the first time in the municipal election in 2021, and have since been involved in our city as a substitute in the council, and for a three-year period as secretary of the Swedish People's Party's council group. I am currently a substitute in the audit committee.
My work history is diverse, I have worked for a few years on a passenger ferry (restaurant) and about 15 years in healthcare.
For the past four years, I have worked for the Swedish People's Party. For three years, I had the pleasure of serving as the Operations manager for SFP in Southwest Finland and currently I work sas the Coordinator for SFP's Hyvinvointialue council groups in Uusimaa.
My commitment is strong and long-term. I hope to be worthy of your vote on election day!
Important political topics
Municipal and urban vitality
Pargas is already a nice city to live in, and we will continue to work to get more people to move in. Our assets are pleasant living environments, good schools and a diverse business community. The city should further develop the cooperation with different associations and the third sector, which do important work in many areas. The city needs to invest in providing good conditions for the new "Labor Agencies" to start operating. Hopefully, employers and job seekers will find each other more easily in the future.
Housing and Construction
The center of Pargas (Malmen) is constantly developing and I would be prepared to approve new plans for different areas. One area that should be developed, and perhaps completely re-planned, is the guest harbor. There is plenty of space there that is mostly used for car parking, which feels like a waste of the nice and unique environment there.
Economy & Business
A healthy public economy is the foundation for all municipal operations, and financial balance is important. This may sometimes lead to local politicians having to make unpopular decisions, but it is also not an option to bury your head in the sand and believe that economic challenges will go away on their own.
