"The future is in our hands – let's make the best out of it"
I work for an attractive and growing Vaasa where jobs are created. Only that way can we finance further investments in sports and exercise, education, and culture – topics that are close to my heart.
As a person, I am active, cheerful, and cooperative. I enjoy sports, reading, and going to the theater among other things.
Over the next four years, we should focus on developing the old Wärtsilä area into a national landmark, pushing forward the artificial ice rink project, and creating the conditions for an active everyday life, economic growth, and a high-quality educational path. Additionally, we need to continuously develop our transportation networks, both nationally and internationally. These are issues I already work on daily. Now, I ask for your support to continue the work.
In my spare time I like to do sports and read. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, big or small.
Current positions of trust:
- Chair of the Board, Regional Council of Ostrobothnia
- Member of the Vaasa City Board
- Vaasa City Councilor
- Member of the Culture and Sports Committee
- Board Representative in the Swedish Section for Education
- Member of the Sports Subcommittee
- Chair of the Council for People with Disabilities
Important political topics
Municipal and urban vitality
The work for a growing and thriving city is directly correlated with important investments in everything from education to recreational opportunities and conditions for an active daily life, which strengthens the health of the people of Vaasa. These are issues that are absolutely central to me.
The best schools
The school sets the standard for our children's and young people's future. In an increasingly uncertain everyday life, the school is a safe space, and it can only continue to be that through ongoing investments.
I am both happy and proud of the significant investments we have made in education during this term, and I am motivated to continue this work.
Culture and Leisure
Since I entered politics, one of my core issues has been a meaningful leisure time.
Vaasa should be a top city to move to and live in, with diverse educational opportunities and workplaces. At the same time, it is crucial that we create the conditions for an active everyday life outside of work and studies.
I both dream of and work towards a city where there is something meaningful to do every day. Something that takes us away from the dull home couch when we need it. This way, we, the people of Vaasa, will feel better as well.

We are already very good at doing this in Ostrobothnia!

We are already quite ok at this.
10 / 11

This is partly already being done.

If you could give a superpower to your future political leader, what would it be?
If one always made perfect decisions, the other three options would be addressed at the same time.
