"Culture, education and learning in an inclusive and healthy community"
I’m a candidate in the upcoming elections for the city council with the aim of continuing to work for an inclusive and fair community to live in. At present, I work as a teacher and a guide with a strong interest in education, culture and tourism. Why? Because I believe that they are different aspects of the same thing!
For the past fifteen years I have lived in Karis, and enjoy it very much, but my roots are in the archipelago area around Turku.
When all the residents of Raseborg work together to develop our community, we gain a greater respect, a greater understanding and a greater inclusion. Those in charge should reflect the population, and then the candidates need to have different backgrounds and areas of knowledge. For my part, I hope to contribute with knowledge about culture, education and integration issues.
Important political topics
Thriving citizens
Activity and inclusion are important factors in a well-functioning community where the residents feel comfortable and safe. To achieve this, we invest in activities for all the people in Raseborg, for instance through libraries, outdoor activities and sports as well as culture. At the same time, these places provide spaces and meeting places for social interaction and learning together. Culture and leisure time are important for our well-being.
Every one of the residents is a part of a big Raseborg jigsaw and should have the chance to contribute.
New community members are a big resource and they deserve a smooth transition to life in Finland. Integration processes in both languages are beneficial and the access to them, as well as the individual right to decide which one you want to chose.
The best schools
The aim of our schools is to give equal opportunity to all pupils and students and make use of the individual learner’s skills, knowledge and talents.
