Vaasa
"Vaasa is the city that has shaped my life. Now I wish to help with steering it in a better direction"
I study at the Upper-Secondary School of Vasa Övningsskola and am very interested in politics and history. I have recently become an alternate member of the board of Swedish Youth's Ostrobothnian district. The municipal election in 2025 will be the first election I am running in.
I am an avid athlete and practice sports such as fencing and golf. In addition to my sports interests, I also play the violin.
Vasa means a great deal to me as I have lived here my entire life, and I strive to improve the city for its current and future residents.
Important political topics
The best schools
According to my positions in the municipal election:
Safety and well-being for children and youth:
-Lunchboxes for children in need, made from school food that would otherwise be thrown away.
-Provide afternoon activities for grades three to four.
-Prevent mental health issues.
Economy & Business
According to my positions in the municipal election:
Merger of all municipalities in the Vaasa economic region in order to:
Strengthen the region's capacity and make it more attractive to businesses and residents.
Strengthen competitiveness.
Ensure multilingual services for residents.
Municipal and urban vitality
According to my positions in the municipal election:
Vaasa should become a city where development is promoted, and the culture of complaints among the city's residents is overcome. The city needs to move forward with:
The new bypass road from the harbor area passing the city center, which has been planned for several decades.
The Soap Factory area and Smulterö on Brändö.
The issues surrounding the Cat House.
A school campus for Finnish-speaking schools in the city center.
