I have lived in Grani since 1997, and as someone who enjoys walking or running, I am intimately familiar with every path in our beautiful little town. This deep connection with Grani has made me appreciate both the natural surroundings and the sense of community we have here. I am a mother of two teenage children, which has given me also insight into the needs and challenges that families face today.

I have always been passionate about learning and have pursued higher education with a focus on Political Science and International Law at Helsinki University. During the last 4 years I have worked as a project adviser for a cultural and information centre, Luckan Helsingfors, where I have gained valuable experience in strategic planning, cross-cultural communication, and fostering community engagement. This work has shown me the importance of sustainable development, both in terms of environmental conservation and the well-being of our people. I believe that sustainable growth requires collaboration across various sectors, ensuring that we can preserve our natural resources while also enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our community.

What I love most about Grani is that we are a bilingual town and not afraid of speaking other languages too! Our ability to speak multiple languages not only enhances our cultural richness but also enables us to bridge gaps between generations and backgrounds. I myself am fluent in five languages, which allows me to connect with others effortlessly, whether it’s overcoming language barriers or fostering understanding between different generations. This linguistic ability strengthens my ability to listen and communicate effectively, which is essential for building strong, inclusive communities.

I am deeply committed to ensuring that Grani remains a place where everyone, regardless of their background or language, feels welcomed and heard. Through active engagement and collaboration, I hope to contribute to a future where sustainability, inclusion, and opportunity are at the heart of Grani’s development.
