"A Sustainable Future for Grankulla"
I am a 46-year-old father of four who has been actively involved in Grankulla’s municipal politics for over two decades. Since 2001, I have been a member of the city council, and during the last term, I have served on the city board. I have also run in both the welfare district and parliamentary elections.
My experience spans several areas, including the municipal technical committee and chairing the youth committee. Outside of politics, I have a long career in culture and education – I currently work as team leader for the cultural team at Luckan in Helsinki and am an active musician. I have also worked as a teacher for many years.
With my background in politics, culture, and education, I am committed to continuing my work for a strong and well-functioning society, where we invest in sustainable development, quality healthcare, and a rich cultural life.

Economy & Business
A stable economy is the foundation of Grani's well-being. We must build a long-term investment plan that does not change with every election cycle. We are facing investments of an unprecedented scale in Grani, and the future of the entire city depends on how we handle them. Without an investment plan, we will not be able to manage these challenges.
At the same time, the city must be business-friendly and create good conditions for economic growth. The employment service reform should be seen as an opportunity for us, and we must achieve balance in our operating economy while ensuring manageable population growth.
The best schools
We want to prioritize safe, high-quality learning environments, a first-class working environment, and an attractive role as an employer. We need to find solutions for early childhood education that work for all language groups, and the restrictions of the development of language immersion must come to an end.
I also believe that we decision-makers should visit schools regularly to be more involved in the daily life of our largest sector, to strengthen student influence, to engage children and young people in society, and at the same time to create a natural connection to decision-making.
Sustainable and attractive planning
Sustainable urban planning is the key to preserving Grani's identity as a pleasant and green city. We want diverse residential environments, a vibrant city center, and smart solutions for traffic and parking. The future of the town hall site, as well as the parking challenges at the shopping center and railway station, must be resolved through long-term, well-considered decisions.

As we have only one Swedish-speaking unit within the statutory early childhood education, it is crucial that this unit is not split into multiple locations. Keeping it together makes it less vulnerable, and it should, if possible, be centrally located.

Both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking early childhood education and schools should continue to be governed by their own committees.
There are no valid reasons to weaken the minority language\'s ability to decide over Swedish-language education. The decision-making process would have become cumbersome, no money would have been saved, and above all, the symbolic value of such a decision for Kauniainen would have been extremely negative.
