"More efficient governance"
An Espoo-based expert in administration with a heart that beats for efficient governance.
I believe in a small and agile public sector, safety, and broad individual freedoms.
I am Certified Board Member (HHJ) and have also studied international business. I work as a sales project manager in a limited company based in Espoo.
I have extensive experience in administration at the organizational level, in public administrative organizations, limited companies, and foundations. Previously, in Central Finland, I have served on the board of JAMK Oy, the board of KOAS Sr, and as chair of JAMKO's representative council. Now, I am offering my expertise in streamlining administration to serve the residents of Espoo and the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county.
When administration is streamlined correctly, it results in improved services and, in the best case, even a reduction in taxes.
In addition to efficient governance, my key focus areas are safety, child protection, and securing statutory services in both official languages.
Important political topics
Economy & Business
In a poor economic situation, we cannot afford large administrative systems or unnecessary waste.
At the municipal level, decision-making must be prepared clearly and carefully. In city-owned companies, operations must follow the logic of free markets, not slack "there’s always money" practices.
Equality and Equity
We must guarantee equal opportunities in Espoo for everyone in both official languages. Additionally, we need to enable integration into Finnish society in both official languages. Even if a resident lacks proficiency in either of the official languages, learning the language is a critical step toward integration.
Furthermore, Espoo must ensure gender equality. The city must have zero tolerance for sexism and gender-based harassment.
Espoo must also promote the participation of people with disabilities in public life.
Thriving citizens
The sense of insecurity has also increased in Espoo. We must ensure that every Espoo resident feels safe in shared spaces. The city should collaborate with all necessary stakeholders to ensure the safety of public spaces.
Every resident of Espoo must be able to trust that a police officer or security guard is a source of help, not a threat.
Candidate's answers in election machine
1 / 14
We should build upwards rather than expand into new areas in Espoo.
2 / 14
Espoo is a safe city to live in.
3 / 14
Espoo provides sufficient services and support for young people.
4 / 14
Early childhood education should be free for everyone.
Price as it is now is reasonable.
5 / 14
Schools should prioritize traditional textbooks over digital learning materials.
Continuous screen time weakens concentration and indirectly causes disruptive behavior. Children should experience boredom more often.

One of the municipality’s most important tasks is to invest in sports facilities and opportunities for exercise and recreation.
Sports are entirely commercial activities, and I don\\\'t see the need for the municipality to be very active in them. Instead, outdoor opportunities should be developed.

It is important to provide all residents with equal opportunities for cultural activities.
The framing of the question is difficult. Does this mean that there must be an opera house in every neighborhood, or does it mean that the costs of cultural activities should be kept in check so that everyone can participate? If the goal is to keep prices low, then of course. That’s extremely important!

The municipality should introduce or improve opportunities for residents to influence how municipal funds are used through participatory budgeting.
Municipal decision-making works best through the collaboration of representative democracy and civil servant decisions. Participatory budgeting leads to populism, and there is already too much of it in the world.
9 / 14
The municipality should invest in public transportation.
Espoo\\\'s public transportation operates in cooperation with Helsinki. This has made it easy to travel from Espoo to Helsinki, but moving within Espoo can often be challenging. However, I do not see the development of public transportation as the most important task.

It should be possible to be a resident in more than one municipality, for example, through digital municipal citizenship.
This would cause several bureaucratic pitfalls: where should I pay municipal taxes, in which welfare region should I receive care, and in which municipality can I vote in municipal elections? I don\\\'t see anything good in this idea.
11 / 14
The municipality should better facilitate the expansion of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
Fossil-free energy is the future.
12 / 14
The municipality should mix more housing types in planning than is currently the case.
Espoo\\\'s strength lies in urban planning, where each area has its own unique character. Let’s not ruin our cultural history.
13 / 14
The municipality should introduce anonymous recruitment.
It has been scientifically proven that, for example, a foreign-sounding name leads to discrimination in the labor market.

If you could give a superpower to your future political leader, what would it be?
With this superpower, we will improve the future, fix past mistakes, fight corruption, and clean up the environment.
