The work for a better and more sustainable future starts here, in Finland, in Helsinki, in our homes, daycare centers, schools, workplaces, and the everyday society in which we live and work. We all have a duty to do our part, take responsibility for how we live, how we treat others, and what we are willing to do for the common good. Thoughtful planning, new innovative ways to improve and develop, and smart solutions that cost-effectively enhance the quality of life in our municipality are necessary.
Children, Youth, and Families
The Finnish education system is world-renowned, and we can only thank our ancestors who built an educational culture of the highest standard. Today’s generation benefits from an exceptional education system that provides them with all the tools needed to be competitive in Europe’s diverse and increasingly demanding job market. Finnish innovation, design, and strong expertise have, over the past 50 years, paved the way for new, eager businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed worldwide. The Finnish education system is now a tourist attraction, a national pride that must be preserved and cherished.
However, we must not forget to develop what we have into something even better. Investments are being made in restructuring the educational system, sparking heated debates that have divided public opinion. Recently, some positive changes have taken place, particularly in discussions about good nutrition and ways to improve it, leading to concrete enhancements. Yet, much more can still be done.
In recent years, the wonderful world of culture has become an increasingly significant part of the education system. Studies show that culture and art contribute to health and well-being. While it is evident that culture enriches our lives in many ways, integrating it into the curriculum from an early age is not a given. Therefore, we must ensure that young people are offered new ways to learn and keep their interests alive through cultural stimulation.
With today’s technological advancements comes greater pressure on parents to ensure their children get enough physical activity. Technology should not become a negative force in a child’s life but rather create opportunities. Exercise is essential for healthy development and a well-balanced life. The city must acknowledge its responsibility and obligation to invest in various platforms such as parks and sports facilities and ensure they meet modern standards. This way, making an active choice becomes more accessible, more appealing, and a more attractive alternative to passivity and inactivity.
One thing I have noticed over the years is that only a small group of people tend to discuss these issues, form opinions, and take a stand. This means that when a person is affected personally, when the issue becomes relevant to them, the decision has already been made. It is therefore essential to stay informed and engaged in all matters, even those that may not seem immediately relevant.
These are just some of the topics that matter deeply to me, which is why I have decided to step into the fire again. If you vote for me, I promise to always consider the best interests of society when making decisions. And if we both get involved, we can ensure a healthy, fair, and safe future in our wonderful city.

These efforts attract investment, create jobs, and strengthen the local economy in a sustainable way.
It is also crucial to listen to entrepreneurs and understand their challenges so that municipal efforts can be adapted to their needs. One key sector is the restaurant industry, which not only creates jobs but also serves as an important tourist attraction. By supporting and developing the local restaurant scene, the municipality can enhance tourism and generate positive economic effects.
