Vaasa

"For education, humanity, and equality."

I am a university lecturer in Swedish at the University of Vaasa, where I primarily teach Swedish to Finnish-speaking students. I also have some courses in Swedish as a foreign language, which allows me to connect with many different people from all corners of the world.

I have studied at the University of Vaasa and obtained my doctorate in 2011, which means that the university is very important to me, just as it is to the entire region.

I am also a member of the parish council (Vasa svenska församling) and serve on a committee (Kommittén för kristen fostran), that works for children and young adults.

For me, education is one of the most important issues. I want to work for equal opportunities for all to have access to a safe and secure school, where everyone, regardless of background, gender, or social status, has the chance to achieve their dreams and goals.

I live in Sundom with my husband and our three children.

Digital learning materials should not completely replace traditional textbooks. Especially in the lower grade levels, it is important that children have access to physical books. At the same time, society is becoming increasingly digitalized, and it is also beneficial for children and young people to gain knowledge in using digital learning materials.
