I come from Kalajoki, Northern Ostrobothnia, but for several years now, I have had the privilege of calling Vaasa my home. I originally moved to Vaasa for my studies, but during my time as a student, the city began to feel so welcoming that I decided to continue my journey here as I transitioned into working life.
Working to enhance Vaasa’s attractiveness and livability is my passion, and I am ready to put in the effort to make a difference. I have seen firsthand how students tend to leave Vaasa for other cities after their studies. I believe that by investing in culture, recreational opportunities, and local businesses, we can make Vaasa a thriving city for both new and current residents. Vaasa has incredible potential to become an even more international city—one where everyone has the opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life.
I am running in the municipal elections for the first time because I feel that now is the right time to make a difference. I am often described as cheerful and positive, and I want to bring that same energy into politics—choosing to see opportunities rather than problems.
