"Together we can make Helsinki a better city for everyone. I want to work with you for change so that we can make Helsinki better. If I am elected as a member of the council, I will strive to ensure that Helsinki works for the benefit of its residents."
I am a 40-year-old restaurant chef student. I study at the Perho School of Business in Helsinki. I also work part-time in the kitchen. I was born in Gambia. I moved to Finland in 2021. I moved to Helsinki with my wife at the beginning of 2024.
Environmental protection is important to me in every way. I want us to protect our environment together, it is everyone's responsibility. The environmental protection goals for 2025-2029 are to compile ecological sustainability goals and set long-term goals. We can reduce our own carbon footprint, for example, by taking soil protection into account in all land use. We must also open a discussion together with the council members on how to reduce the use of old cars in Helsinki. This is because these cars cause a lot of environmental and health problems.
We are building our municipality, affordable housing is a big part of it, because everyone should be equal. I believe that the municipality should invest in building affordable houses so that everyone can live in peace, love and harmony and experience the equality that Finland is known for.
