In 2021, I ran for the first time in the municipal election, after that, I became interested in several of SFP's member associations, where I am on the boards. In September, I got involved in Kretsen, where we mainly work with regional issues with connections to the local departments within the regional areas. I am also a member of Svenska Kvinnoförbundet, which consists of women and some men who want to work for equality in society. I am standing in the municipal elections because I believe that committed people are needed to manage important social issues.
Important political topics
The best schools
I want to focus on our schools. The school must offer equal conditions for all children and young people during the school year, from early childhood education to the second stage. Pupils with special needs should receive the support they need. The children should have the opportunity for hobby activities or some activity in a hobby club after school. We must continue with the youth work so that there are adults who secure the children's everyday life. It is common knowledge that people who move through a physical activity or have a hobby feel better mentally and physically.
Forerunners in climate and the environment
Archipelago and nature are also close to me. The big problem in the archipelago sea is eutrophication, which is due to nutrients leaking into the sea mainly from the fields, fish production, through littering, dumping of snow into the sea, boating and possibly also from the industry. In order for the archipelago sea to become better, the flow of nutrients must be reduced and also be removed from the sea if possible. Cloudy water and cyanobacteria blooms are unfortunately familiar to all of us. The development of tourism in our area depends a lot on how nature is doing. This unique region is of great importance to us who live here, to our municipality and to our country.
Municipal and urban vitality
A balanced economy provides the conditions for a functioning municipality. Growth in the municipality secure competent workforce and possibly new companies. Through vitality policy in municipalities, we attract investment, construction and improvement of the infrastructure.
In order to develop, we need people to move to Pargas from other municipalities, mainly as residents. People that move to Pargas must be able to choose in which language the integration takes place. The municipality's role in integration must ensure that everyone feels welcome and has a smooth transition to working life.
