Vantaa
"For a human-centered, multicultural and involving Vantaa!"
I am a natural scientist and humanist with a strong belief in the future. I live in the west parts of Vantaa, nearby Myyrmäki, ans i work in Otaniemi at Aalto University, finishing up my doctoral degree in chemistry. In my free time I get busy with caring for my garden, writing and reading.
I believe in putting the citizen in the center of decision making. THe well-being of the individual is the fundament of a healthy society. Thus it is important to invest in things that strengthen the feeling of involvement in society and enables a meaningful life: excellent education, high-quality sociel services, and good maintenance of public infrastructure. Nature is central for wellbeing, and this needs to e considered in city planning.

Sustainable and attractive planning
I work for a Vantaa that is human-centered, multicultural and involving. We need an environment that supports wellbeing, with close access to nature.
Forerunners in climate and the environment
Vantaa already has great investments to show in sustainable energy and waste handling solutions. I want us to continue being an example for environment-friendly solutions for industry.
Thriving citizens
Vantaa is top in multiculture in Finland. Multiculturalism is a resource, as long as we succeed in being welcoming and helpful with guiding newcomers in how to be part of the society. Integration services are wellbeing services.
