Helsinki

"Helsinki Needs a Smart Future."

I’m an entrepreneur, an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning innovator, and an efficiency expert. Not a career politician. Helsinki doesn’t need more bureaucracy. It needs smarter, faster, and more effective solutions.

Right now, Helsinki is stuck with slow, expensive systems that don’t work well enough. That’s not good enough. We can fix that. With the right tools – AI, edge computing, and smarter planning – we can cut inefficiencies, speed up services, and improve quality of life without raising costs.

Helsinki should also be a city with more trees, more accessible beaches, and better green spaces for everyone to enjoy.

I live in Etu-Töölö with my husband, our son and two daughters, and our miniature schnauzer. Every day, I see how Helsinki could function better – from traffic and public services to education and sustainability.

As CEO of Pauhu AI, I’ve built AI solutions that slash infrastructure costs, improve multilingual services, and cut energy waste. As chair of Kites Ry, I work with businesses, researchers, and policymakers to ensure that AI innovation benefits real people, not just corporations.

I also serve on the board of Minervaskolan, working to ensure that Helsinki’s schools prepare students for the future with modern tools and forward-thinking policies.

I also believe in the power of community. If you know me, vote for me. If you believe in smarter, more efficient governance, vote for me. Together, we can make Helsinki a better city for everyone.

My Agenda for Helsinki
🔹 Cut the waste. Smarter city services powered by AI and edge computing can eliminate inefficiencies, speed up response times, and save taxpayer money.
🔹 Future-ready schools. Smaller classes, better digital tools, and an education system that prepares kids for real jobs, not just exams.
🔹 An energy-efficient, livable city. Smarter traffic solutions, better EV infrastructure, and urban planning that actually makes sense.

Helsinki needs better decisions, not just bigger budgets. It’s time to fix what’s broken, not just manage the status quo.
🔹 Less wasted tax money
🔹 Faster services
🔹 A smarter city for everyone

🗳 Vote for me, Linda Ahlblad, to bring AI-driven solutions, energy-efficient innovation, and smarter city services to Helsinki.

While traditional textbooks have served as a cornerstone of education for decades, the integration of digital learning materials presents an invaluable opportunity to enhance educational accessibility and engagement. I believe schools should not prioritize one over the other; instead, they should strive to create a balanced educational environment that incorporates the strengths of both traditional and digital methods. This approach not only caters to diverse learning styles but also prepares students for a future where digital literacy is crucial.

The concept of digital municipal citizenship represents a forward-thinking approach to residency and civic engagement. Allowing individuals to hold residency in more than one municipality through digital means can enhance flexibility, increase access to services across regions, and enable more inclusive participation in local governance. This could particularly benefit those who live transient lifestyles, work remotely, or split their time between different locations, ensuring they can fully engage with and contribute to each community they are part of. Adopting such a progressive policy reflects our commitment to adapting to modern lifestyles and leveraging technology to improve civic engagement.

Diversifying the available types of housing in Helsinki is essential for creating an inclusive and sustainable community. By integrating a mix of housing options, ranging from single-family homes to multi-family apartments and affordable housing units,we can cater to the varied needs and budgets of all residents. This approach not only promotes social equity by providing housing opportunities for people across different income levels but also enhances the aesthetic and functional diversity of our neighborhoods. Moreover, mixed housing can help reduce urban sprawl, optimize land use, and contribute to the economic vitality of the area. Embracing this policy is a step towards a more dynamic, cohesive, and resilient community.

Anonymous recruitment is a crucial step towards more equitable hiring practices. By removing identifiers such as names, ages, and genders from applications, we ensure that hiring decisions are made based solely on the applicants\' qualifications and the quality of their work. This approach not only helps in reducing unconscious biases but also promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace. Implementing anonymous recruitment can lead to a more fair and competitive workforce, reflecting the diverse community that our city serves.

If you could give a superpower to your future political leader, what would it be?

The ability to instantly purify the environment and stop climate change.
Invisibility to reveal and combat corruption at all levels.
Time travel to correct historical mistakes and improve the future.
Infinite wisdom to make perfect decisions on all political matters.

Given the urgency of the environmental crisis, I would choose the superpower to instantly purify the environment and halt climate change. This ability would not only address the immediate threats to our planet\'s health but also secure a sustainable future for all generations. By directly tackling the root causes of climate change, this superpower would transform our world, allowing us to restore ecosystems, reduce extreme weather events, and ultimately create a more habitable and thriving planet for every living being.
