Helsinki
"More spontaneity and livelier public spaces!"
My Helsinki is a city that is open to new ideas and bold investments, with fewer regulations that prevent us from creating new things organically. The best place on earth is Helsinki on a summer evening, where we can freely move from high-quality cultural events to cozy outdoor terraces and then wind down with a sauna and a swim in the sea. This is something we must cherish.
This also means that when residents take initiatives and create great things themselves, the city should enable them rather than oppose or dismantle them. We need to give people more space to shape urban culture themselves.
Of course, elections are also about securing services throughout life, from education to elderly care. This is the foundation of a well-functioning city. But to make Helsinki even more enjoyable, we must also take advantage of its proximity to the sea by enabling more public saunas and swimming areas. We must make getting around easy with well-developed cycling infrastructure and a unified A-zone ticket within HSL.
Finally, we must ensure that Helsinki achieves its ambitious climate goals and that we become an even more international city in the future, one that invests in social cohesion, where innovation and diversity form the foundation of a strong economy.
