Vaasa
"Vaasa – a safe and attractive city for students, residents, and entrepreneurs."
I am running in the municipal elections to work for a financially strong future for Vaasa.
Since 2008, I have worked as Head of Communications at Novia University of Applied Sciences. I also have nine years of experience in PR and communications at the former VLT/Anvia in Vaasa.
I know how important it is to make wise, fact-based decisions that create long-term growth and stability. As the daughter of an entrepreneur, I see it as crucial to support dedicated entrepreneurs in Vaasa and provide them with good services.
Vaasa needs policies that strengthen the business sector, create new jobs, and encourage students who move here to stay in the region.
With my experience, I can contribute to policies that benefit both residents and businesses.
Vaasa should be a safe and attractive city for students, residents, entrepreneurs, and investors.
The city must offer good bilingual services to its residents.
Our Vaasa
This municipal election is the first in which I am running as a candidate. Right now, a lot is happening in Vaasa, for example, in the harbor area, in Vaskiluoto, throughout the Wärtsilä area in Metviken, and in new areas for battery production. I want to work for a vibrant, business-friendly city center and for hobby activities for children and young people.
We want a safe city in Vaasa.
I am married and have two adult sons. One of them is studying law while the other is working in ’road construction’ with my father. When my sons were growing up, I was an active ice hockey parent for 12 years and also involved in football for a few years. Today, golf has become the family’s main interest.
I enjoy long walks on forest trails and, in winter, on the ice in Storviken. In summer, I spend time in the Petsmo archipelago, where we have a summer cottage, being by the lake and boating is my way of relaxing.
