We need to strengthen our school system and to enable this we need to introduce more authority for the teachers. As long as someone is under the control of compulsory school attendance it should be taken for granted that school rules are followed. Perhaps there should be a "fine" for parents for possible faults. That could perhaps stimulate parents to take control of their responsibility of their children which they do not necessarily always do today, and instead are trying to push that responsibility on the school system.
Culture and Leisure
For the wellbeing of individuals there is a need for cultural choices as well as possibilities for exercising and sports. These facilities should be easily available and preferably nearby your living quarters.
Sustainable and attractive planning
Your living area should initially be attractive and therefore it is not enough with only effective and dense housing construction. Places for vegetation and trees needs to be bigger than today.
From a sustainability point of view it is essential in street planning to take into account the need for snow removal so there wouldn't be a need for expensive transportation of the snow to snow dumps. The saved money could be used for improvements of the street network which is not always in a very good condition.
