"My vision is a municipality where every child and young person has a safe upbringing, where families receive support in time, and where schools and leisure activities promote well-being. "
I work as an expert in preventive work and mental well-being at Stationens barn rf. I have a master's degree in social psychology and have always been interested in human development and the factors that influence our well-being. Children and young people are our future, but too many today struggle with mental health issues, stress, and social exclusion. In my profession, I have seen how the right interventions at the right time can make a huge difference. That is why I am running in the municipal elections – to strengthen preventive work and ensure that all children, young people, and parents receive the support they need.
I grew up in eastern Helsinki and currently live in Vuosaari. These areas are close to my heart, and I want to work to develop them so that they remain family-friendly, close to nature, and well-functioning neighborhoods for all residents now and in the future.
Important political topics
Children, Youth, and Families
Children and young people are our future, and much of a child's well-being is shaped within the family. The municipality must invest in accessible, low-threshold mental health services for children and young people, strengthen school and student welfare resources to prevent exclusion, support parenting and family well-being through concrete measures, and create safe recreational environments where children and young people can grow and experience a sense of belonging. Early childhood education must also be functional and accessible to all, and staff must have sufficient resources to provide the best possible care for children.
The best schools
School is a fundamental factor for our well-being, and it is crucial that schools are accessible to everyone and provide a safe space to learn, grow, and practice essential life skills. Investing in education and increasing school resources is an investment in our future well-being.
Thriving citizens
When citizens thrive, the municipality can also be vibrant and productive. An equal, inclusive, and safe community is a place where residents have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
