"A well-functioning school is the foundation of a good education!"
School and youth issues are close to my heart, and I am happy to represent SFP in our local school politics and the Svenska Rum committee. I would also be happy to continue in the committee during the next mandate period.
The school environment and pathways must be safe, and we must continue to develop youth work and increase resources to avoid all forms of bullying. Reasonable and smaller group sizes pay off in the long run.
Good cooperation between home and school strengthens the sense of security in our young people's daily lives.
I am the chair of the board at Storängen Primary School, and before that, I served as a long-time chair and board member of the school and daycare parent association.
I live in Sökö with my husband and our two teenage daughters, who attend Storängen Primary School and Mattliden High School.
In my daily life, I am a department head in the hotel industry. Organizing, coordinating, and staying one step ahead are some of my strengths. In my free time, I sing in a choir, am a Martha, enjoy cooking, and love outdoor activities.
Important political topics
The best schools
We must ensure a safe learning environment where children and young people are prepared for the challenges ahead. There must be sufficient resources for the daily work in schools, as well as qualified staff and other adults in the school. Everyone in the school should feel well!
Thriving citizens
In Espoo, we have great opportunities to engage in a wide range of physical activities, and the city has invested a lot in outdoor gyms, exercise stairs, and making our beautiful archipelago accessible to everyone. Being active, regardless of age, is something we should cherish and develop. Healthy residents thrive in their hometown.
Sustainable and attractive planning
It is important to have pleasant living environments that are adapted to different life situations. Proximity to services and well-functioning public transport is essential for all residents of the municipality.
