Vaasa
"The State finances, Emil Delivers!"
Hello! My name is Emil Törnudd. I am 19 years old and currently studying at Åbo Akademi in Vaasa. The academic world greatly interests me, and for some time now, I have had the honor and privilege of being a member of the board of Åbo Akademi’s Student Union. I am passionate about student issues and frequently engage in advocacy! In addition to this, I am also on the board of SU in Ostrobothnia.
The reasons behind my candidacy are probably more numerous than the barns on Ostrobothnia’s fields, but among my key issues is the promotion of students' role in urban development and decision-making. As a student at Åbo Akademi, I see daily signs of how important it is for the city's young people to have their voices heard, and if my name appears on your ballot, you will be making an invaluable contribution to this cause.
Furthermore, I intend to put a great deal of effort into transportation. Public transport in Vaasa does not meet the desired standard and is undoubtedly lagging behind compared to other Finnish cities. Efficient transport is the foundation and key to a happier and safer urban environment.
Last but not least, I will focus on sustainable urban development. To maintain our city's fine reputation and integrity, we must build sustainably. The past few years can almost be seen as a tragedy in terms of construction and the expansion of Vaasa. Far too many projects have stagnated or failed to materialize, and people's patience is starting to wear thin. A vote for Emil Törnudd is a vote for the city's growth—through sustainable construction projects. By focusing on development with environmentally friendly solutions, we contribute to a modern and influential Vaasa. A growing Vaasa is a thriving Vaasa!
See you on the streets, at the university, or online, and if I am fortunate enough to receive your precious vote, I can only echo the famous words of Rick Astley: "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down."
