"Education, housing and tracks – let’s build a Helsinki where learning continues, everyday life flows, and everyone has a place."

Hi! I’m Anton Salenius, a 33-year-old Helsinki resident and a municipal election candidate.

People have always been at the heart of my work. I currently work as a special education teacher at a Swedish-language comprehensive school in Eastern Helsinki. In the past, I’ve served as a student representative, worked in educational policy, and held positions in schools, universities, and the private sector. The roles have varied – but one thing has remained constant: my desire to understand and support people.

For me, politics is first and foremost about caring for everyday life. I want to promote equal access to education, accessible and effective public services, and a pleasant and sustainable urban environment. Everyone should have the opportunity to live a safe and meaningful life in Helsinki – to grow, receive support, and be heard.

I believe the best solutions come from listening, dialogue, and building together.
