Espoo

"Future. For every young person. My key themes are restoring youth mental health and well-being, promoting a conducive learning environment in schools and increasing physical activity during the school day. I also aim to promote economically sensible decision-making and an entrepreneur-friendly operating environment in Espoo. "

I have a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration and have done my career in financial management and as an entrepreneur. Youth well-being has always been important to me, which is why I have started studying to become a community educator in youth work and third sector organizations program. I volunteer in youth work and have encountered many young people who need comprehensive support to move forward in life. I have three children who are now young adults. Through them, I have also closely observed the lives of young people and the challenges they face. I have decided to run as a candidate in the municipal elections to promote the overall well-being of children and youth. I believe that my strong financial expertise will help in making cost-effective and comprehensive decisions. I also want to promote an entrepreneur-friendly environment and find ways to increase youth entrepreneurship.

Important political topics

Children, Youth, and Families

Mental health issues among young people are increasing, with nearly a quarter experiencing some form of psychological distress. Strengthening youth well-being and participation is essential if we aim to build a sustainable future. We must ensure that resources are allocated to preventive work and early intervention.

The best schools

Comprehensive school is a place where young people spend a significant part of their daily lives, and therefore it plays a crucial role in their development. In addition to academic skills, young people should find their place in the present and the future. They increasingly need support in their developmental process as they explore and reflect on their own values, commitments, and goals. To enable teachers to focus on teaching and to create a better working environment in classrooms, I advocate for hiring more youth workers in schools. Schools are places for multidisciplinary collaboration, where experts are needed to promote group dynamics and tolerance among young people.
