We will improve public transportation and infrastructure, ensuring that all districts are well connected, including better transport links between Espoo and Helsinki. The cost of living in Espoo is high, and we will promote affordable and sustainable housing solutions so that students, families, and seniors can continue to live here. In addition, we will expand public meeting spaces with a booking system, allowing residents to easily reserve spaces for gatherings, social events, and activities. This includes creating local meeting spaces in residential areas, ensuring that people living in small apartments have access to venues for celebrations and community events. Public barbecue areas, which are often occupied for long periods, should have fair time limits to ensure equal access for all residents. Investments in parks, recreational facilities, and smart city solutions will further enhance the quality of life in Espoo.

For foreigners, finding employment remains a challenge, and we want to address this by making it easier to recognize foreign qualifications and helping newcomers expand their professional networks. Companies in Espoo should also be encouraged to interview more foreign candidates, recognizing the value of diversity in the workplace. Mentorship programs will be introduced to connect experienced professionals with job seekers, including foreigners and young graduates.
