"For a good life in Korsholm."

My name is Alf Burman, I am 73 years old, born and living in Koskö.
I have been a member of the municipal council since 2001.
During the current term, I serve as the second vice chairman of the municipal council. I am also a member of the municipal welfare committee.
It is interesting to take part in the building of society. Our municipality is beautiful, with the archipelago and Finland's longest bridge, as well as all the villages on the mainland. We have good services for young and old.

I became a widower in 2007, when my wife Gun died of cancer at the age of 47. Together we have a daughter Malin who lives in Sundsvall. I am the grandfather of three grandchildren and a bonus grandchild. Since 2009 I am engaged and living with Majvor from Vassor.

I am a trained carpenter and painter.
In my professional life I have been a car painter for four years, and served fur farmers and farmers as a feed salesman at Ostrobotnia Päls, Finska Foder and Hankkija-Lantbruk.
My spare time consists of a lot of association life.
For 36 years, I have also held several positions in church bodies, currently I am the chairman of the Joint Church Council in Korsholm and vice chairman of the parish council in Kvevlax parish. I am interested in social issues, genealogy and amateur theater, which has been a big part of my spare time for 50 years. I have been involved in three different book projects, the latest of which was the book about Koskö, which became the best hometown book of the year in Finland in 2022.
I am a social and humble person who gets along with people easily.
Three important things in my life; Family, friends and freedom (thanks to our war veterans).
