I am running in the municipal elections in Loviisa because I want to help develop our city into an even better and more pleasant place for all of us. For me, it is essential that decision-making is transparent and close to the residents – just as you are close to the people and things that matter to you. The development of Loviisa and the well-being of its residents are my top priorities.
The future of Loviisa looks bright. The city's economy is stable, providing us with excellent opportunities to further improve and enhance our community. I want to ensure that this potential is utilized in the best possible way.
I want to focus on strengthening the key strengths of our city:
• A pleasant and idyllic living environment in the city center, countryside, and archipelago
• High-quality early childhood education and schooling
• Thriving villages
• An active and diverse sports and recreation scene
• A vibrant and high-quality cultural life
• A beautiful environment with excellent opportunities for exercise and outdoor activities
During the next council term, I want to focus on the following key areas:
• Creating the best possible conditions for entrepreneurship, new jobs, and investments
• Strengthening the vitality of the city throughout the area, ensuring that local services are not only maintained but also expanded where possible
• A collaborative, constructive, and resident-centered decision-making process
• Preserving the current network of schools and daycare centers while promoting closer cooperation across language groups
• Improving school and daycare meal services by ensuring food is prepared using local ingredients
• Building a new library, a modern cultural venue, and a sports hall
• Maintaining our climate goals and promoting environmentally friendly solutions
