SFP’S ELECTION PROGRAMME IN THE COUNTY ELECTIONS IN OSTROBOTHNIA AND CENTRAL OSTROBOTHNIA<\/b><\/h2>\n

In the county elections, we vote on how to organise healthcare, social services and emergency services. In this election programme you will find our most important issues, which all SFP candidates are working for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SFP works for our region to be nationally and internationally successful, which means that we want healthcare services to be of high quality and accessible to everyone, young and old. We want every resident to feel safe, regardless of their service needs or stage of life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ACCESSIBILITY<\/b><\/h3>\n

Social and healthcare services should be accessible. It should be easy to get in touch with the healthcare services, whatever your preferred method of contact. There should be a low threshold for asking for help, regardless of the issue. The services offered should be versatile and respond to the need that is recognised.<\/span><\/p>\n

You should receive care at the right time and at the right level. We want to focus on preventive services, but in the event of illness or accident, you should receive high-quality medical care. The Central Hospital is there for all residents of the area and you should receive care in both official languages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Geographical distances can only be partly bridged by remote services. Local service points will remain, but digital and mobile services need to be greatly developed.<\/span><\/p>\n

SAFETY<\/b><\/h3>\n

Functioning social care services must be a given. People should be cared for as a whole, which means that you should not be bounced around, but the services should work seamlessly together on your terms. Psychosocial services should be available with a low threshold.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safe care for the elderly is best achieved through a wide range of services. You should feel safe living at home and be confident that you will get help when you need it. New solutions are needed to ensure that there are enough services for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ambulance, fire and other emergency services must be reliable. You should be able to rely on help to arrive if the worst happens, no matter where you are or what time of day it is. We are working to ensure sufficient resources to maintain readiness, also in border areas, rural areas and archipelagos.<\/span><\/p>\n

TRUST<\/b><\/h3>\n

The first years of the wellbeing services counties has been challenging and the financial constraints are severe. Finland’s healthcare, social and emergency services are among the best in the world. We want to keep it that way, but it requires development and new services.<\/span><\/p>\n

A good human resources policy is the key to the success of the wellbeing services counties. We want to create work peace for our staff. Employees should be able to influence their work, and they should be able to perform the tasks they are trained for. Motivated and skilled staff is vital for well-functioning wellbeing services counties.<\/span><\/p>\n

SFP’s decision-makers are competent and responsible. We know our region, its challenges, strengths and needs.<\/span><\/p>\n
